29. October 2025 - Last week we welcomed the new winter semester 2025/2026 students from the Food Process and Product Engineering (FPPE) MSc programme jointly run by the Stiftung Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover (TiHo) and the DIL Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik e. V.

Exploring Innovation Across the Artland Campus

As part of their orientation week, the students explored the Artland Campus and visited partner companies in Quakenbrück to get a first taste of the region’s innovation in food technology.

Hands-on with Pulsed Electric Field Technology at Elea

At Elea, they were introduced to the fascinating world of Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) technology by Matteo Stefanelli, Arisa Thamsuaidee, and Sam David Hopper — beginning with a short lecture and followed by engaging, hands-on experiments demonstrating electroporation in action on root vegetables. To top it all off, we enjoyed some delicious PEF French fries for lunch!
