Elea at the 109th VLB Oktobertagung – Experience PEF Technology Live
Elea is excited to be part of the 109th Oktobertagung hosted by the VLB Berlin (Research and Teaching Institute for Brewing in Berlin e.V.), taking place from 6–7 October in Berlin.
This annual conference brings together professionals from the brewing, malt, and beverage industries to exchange knowledge, discover the latest innovations, and network with peers.
We’ll be on site showcasing our PEF (Pulsed Electric Field) technology live with one of our systems. This is a unique opportunity to experience how PEF technology can enhance the brewing process.
Managing Director Stefan Toepfl will take the stage on 6th October at 14:05 to deliver his presentation on “Use of Pulsed Electric Fields for the Decontamination of Beverages.”
His talk will highlight the use of PEF technology for the gentle and effective decontamination of beer and fruit juices. Unlike conventional pasteurization, PEF enables product-friendly germ reduction at lower temperatures, preserving quality while ensuring safety.
In collaboration with the VLB, Elea has successfully realized a setup for the treatment of carbonated beverages for the first time. The presentation will explore application areas, product and process benefits, as well as current case studies.
