Driving PEF Research Forward: Our Food Engineer at EBTT 2025

26. November 2025 - From 10th to 15th November, our Food Engineer and PhD student Madita Kirchner attended the EBTT at the University of Ljubljana.

Exploring Plant Tissue Responses to Pulsed Electric Fields

During here time at the EBTT she presented a poster on the topic: “Non-uniformity of Pulsed Electric Field treatment effects on plant tissues as evidenced by Magnetic Resonance Imaging methods.” Her presentation explores how plant tissues with varying conductivity, cell size, and other characteristics respond differently to PEF treatment, providing new insights into the effects of Pulsed Electric Fields on plant material.

Collaboration in Focus: Strengthening Partnerships at EBTT

The event offered a great opportunity for networking and reconnecting with familiar faces while meeting new ones. It was particularly special for Madita, as she had previously spent several weeks at the university working on the research presented. Strengthening collaborations like these is always a pleasure and an important part of driving innovation forward.
