New Intern - Welcoming Frederico Pölking Lenhardt to Elea’s R&D Team

25. November 2025 - Elea is thrilled to introduce Frederico Pölking Lenhardt, our new intern with a unique Brazilian–German background and a deep passion for sustainability.

Driving Innovation with PEF Technology

Since September, Frederico has been part of our R&D team, focusing on research into the effects of PEF (Pulsed Electric Field) Technology on the solubility of whey proteins—a topic that supports innovation in food processing.

A Rich Background in Sustainability and Circular Economy

With over two decades of experience in agroecology, composting, bioconstruction, and renewable energy systems, Frederico’s journey began as a student—and later instructor—at a permaculture center in the Brazilian Cerrado. Since 2011, Frederico has been part of BIO-C, a composting specialist company in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, managing the transformation of ~7,000 tons of industrial organic residues per month into compost for soil recovery. Currently in his 8th semester of Chemical Engineering at UNISINOS, he is expanding his scientific and technical knowledge to support circular economy and low-carbon initiatives.
