02. December 2025 - Last month, our Food Engineer and PhD student Madita Kirchner proudly represented Elea at EFFoST in Portugal, taking the stage to share her latest research insights.

PiCon: AI-Driven Quality Control for Industry 4.0

Alongside her presentation on the diverse effects of Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) treatments on plant tissues, she unveiled an insightful poster titled:

“Towards Smart Snack Production: Inline Acoustic Quality Control Using AI after PEF Treatment of Potatoes.”

The poster highlights the scientific foundation of PiCon, our AI-driven inline quality control and process optimization tool. When fully developed, this smart automation will help:
