Higher Yield, Lower Costs, Better Quality: Elea's Webinar Draws Strong Interest
29. April 2026 - Elea recently hosted its first webinar in several years, bringing together industry professionals to explore the benefits of Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) technology in potato chip production. The session provided practical insights into how PEF can help manufacturers achieve higher yields, reduce production costs, and improve product quality, while also demonstrating the technology in action.
Exploring the Benefits of PEF for Potato Chip Production
The webinar, titled "Higher Yield, Lower Costs & Better Quality: PEF for Potato Chip Production," was presented by Kevin Hill and Stefan Toepfl. During the session, participants received an introduction to the principles of PEF technology and learned how it can support more efficient and sustainable Potato Chip Production.
The presentation highlighted the impact of PEF on key production parameters, including raw material utilization, processing efficiency, and final product quality.
In addition to the theoretical background, attendees had the opportunity to experience PEF technology through live demonstrations. Using Elea's Cut Control system, the presenters showcased the effects of PEF treatment and illustrated how the technology can influence product characteristics and processing performance.
Looking Ahead to Future Webinar Sessions
The successful webinar marks the beginning of a renewed focus on online knowledge sharing at Elea. Building on the positive response from participants, additional webinar sessions are already being planned.
Future topics will include innovations such as PiCon Tools, Elea's AI-driven inline optimisation tools, as well as further applications of PEF technology across the food industry.
