Rotary Club Cloppenburg-Quakenbrück Visits Elea to Explore PEF Innovation

25. March 2026 - Elea recently welcomed members of the Rotary Club Cloppenburg-Quakenbrück to its headquarters in Quakenbrück. The visit provided an opportunity to learn more about the company's history, the development of Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) technology, and its applications in modern food processing.

From Company History to PEF Technology Development

The visit began with a presentation by Elea's Managing Director, Stefan Toepfl, who introduced the guests to the company's journey from its beginnings to becoming a leading provider of industrial PEF technology. Participants gained insights into the evolution of PEF applications and the role the technology plays in improving efficiency, quality, and sustainability in food processing.

Experiencing Pulsed Electric Field Technology First-Hand

Following the presentation, the group visited Elea's Pilot Hall, where Johannes Pfeiffer demonstrated the company's PEF Pilot system. Guests had the opportunity to see the technology in action and learn more about how PEF is used in research, product development, and industrial-scale applications across various food sectors.

The evening concluded with finger food and lively discussions, providing plenty of opportunities for questions, knowledge exchange, and networking.
