Algae+ combines Algae Holland’s microalgae expertise with Elea’s PEF technology to unlock high-value extracts, starting with Chlorella vulgaris and expanding on other microalgae species.

ENABLE
2024 - 2025
ENABLE builds on ALGAE-MODULE 4.0 to bring algae-based foods closer to the market. Focusing on Chlorella zofingiensis, the project explores new ways of cultivation and gentle processing with PEF. Together with partners across research and industry, ENABLE develops a new PEF treatment chamber and demonstration products.

2022 - 2024
A collaborative research project led by NewFoodSystems, ALGAE-MODULE 4.0 develops modular facilities for producing high-quality algae ingredients. As a technology provider, Elea contributes its PEF expertise to improve processing and extraction, helping unlock algae’s potential in sustainable food applications.

2012 - 2017
International collaboration to unlock microalgae’s full potential using Elea’s PEF technology for growth stimulation, gentle extraction of high-value compounds like phycocyanin, and effective microbial decontamination. Various products such als algae pasta or algae crackers have been produced and tasted.
